how babies learn to share

I have a theory about babies learning to share.

It goes like this:

Sweet baby notices person holding, smiling and cooing at them.
Sweet baby is interested in person holding, smiling and cooing at them.
Sweet baby, naturally, reaches out to person who is holding, smiling and cooing at them.
Sweet baby does what he knows best: reaches up and puts sweet, tiny, little grubby, germ-infested fingers into mouth of
person who is holding, smiling and cooing at them.
Person who is holding, smiling and cooing at baby is honored with baby's first attempts at sharing:
germs.

And thus results in the major full-blown long and drawn out ickies that I've been experiencing for the past several weeks.
Sorry if I've been MIA, folks. I'll be back soon. Hopefully.
